Watch Vice Presidential Debate Live: Tim Walz and JD Vance go head-to-head

With only a few weeks left before the November 5 elections to decide who will lead the United States for the next half decade, the Democratic and Republican vice presidential candidates are meeting for a live debate hosted by CBS News.

Vice presidential candidates Tim Walz and JD Vance are facing off in a live debate, days after their running mate Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her Republican rival Donald Trump took part in their debate.

Walz, whom Kamala Harris has chosen as her running mate, has worked in politics for a long time, but until now he has often remained off the radar. Walz gained national attention after being announced as Harris’s running mate in the upcoming election, which promises to be crucial for the country’s future.

J.D. Vance, author of “Hillbilly Elegy” and recently elected to the U.S. Senate, will run against Walz in 2022.

The 90-minute match-up is being broadcast from the CBS News studios in New York City, and like previous presidential debates, it does not have a live crowd. No candidate is allowed to take notes and each will be given 2 minutes to answer questions or respond to any comments. One minute rebuttals are also allowed and the moderator is free to make more rebuttals if they deem necessary.

The 2024 US elections will be held on November 5.
