The US is slowly moving towards the election date of November 5, a date that candidates have spent months preparing for by spending money, explaining policies and making rhetoric and promises. This is undoubtedly an important election for the country which is expected to have global implications. And both of these candidates know it.
Vice President Kamala Harris and her Republican rival and former President Donald Trump will soon be poised to settle the electoral contest, with both promising to deliver something different to the public.
One thing that has undoubtedly stood out is Trump’s promise to appoint Tesla CEO Elon Musk to head a government department. Musk has a real chance of taking a government position if Trump is elected, and with potential oversight commitments — an absurd prospect to contemplate.
Musk reacted to this news. He retweeted another user’s attempt to suggest a name for the new department Musk will lead.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was the one that came up with Sky. And Musk caught on to it immediately, understanding the former president and his vision.
It remains to be seen whether the vision of an entire department in charge of interdepartmental murder becomes a reality.
