In her first television interview in more than two years, former First Lady Melania Trump, wife of the former president and the Republican presidential nominee, said she is the Republican Party’s nominee in her first television interview. “I went to the TV and rewound it,” she said. “When you see her on the floor and you don’t know what really happened … it was horrible.”

Melania, who was in New York City at the time, said, “As soon as I saw it on television, I called again, and he was OK, because the Secret Service was so good.”

He emphasized the miraculous nature of both events.

“I think both events were truly miracles. If you really think about it, July 13th was a miracle. He couldn’t have been with us after all that,” he said, noting how close the bullet passed to Trump’s head.

The former First Lady also expressed her disappointment over the FBI’s raid at Mar-a-Lago in August 2022, which was part of an investigation into her husband’s alleged misuse of classified documents.

He said, “Yeah, it made me angry”, and called the raid an “invasion of privacy”.

He revealed that upon returning to his home in Florida he found that his personal belongings had been searched, including his closet and even his son Barron’s room.

“I see unpleasant things that nobody wants to see,” he said. “And you get angry because nobody should have to tolerate such things.”

Melania expressed disbelief at the invasion, saying, “Somebody — I don’t even know who it was or how many people — searched through my belongings.”
