The Democratic candidate in the battleground state of Pennsylvania said, Presidential election on 5 November She will build on her platform of policies that include subsidies for homebuyers, tax breaks for small businesses, and a federal ban on grocery price gouging.

Harris is also expected to highlight her plan to work with the private sector and entrepreneurs to help grow the middle class in a speech scheduled to be delivered at 3:15 p.m. ET (1915 GMT) at the Economic Club of Pittsburgh, according to a senior campaign official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Both candidates have centered their campaign message on the economy, which a Reuters/Ipsos poll shows is voters’ top concern as Election Day approaches.

While Trump has proposed imposing tariffs on all kinds of foreign-made goods to achieve this goal — a proposal that has the support of a small majority of voters — Harris is focused on providing incentives for businesses to keep their operations in the U.S.

Harris has narrowed Trump’s lead on the economy in recent months, with a Reuters/Ipsos poll published on Tuesday showing the Republican holding a modest 2 percentage point lead on “economy, unemployment and jobs,” down from an 11-point lead in late July.

Harris has attempted to portray herself as the best candidate for the American middle class, citing her upbringing in contrast to Trump’s wealth.

According to a senior campaign official, she will say on Wednesday, “For Donald Trump, our economy works best if it works for the people who own the big skyscrapers. Not the people who build them. Not the people who wire them. Not the people who clean the floors.”
