An American man who Forced my 6-year-old ‘fat’ son to run on a high-speed treadmill On Friday, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. The child died on April 2, 2021 due to the continued abuse.
The man was sentenced to 20 years for aggravated murder and five years for child endangerment.
Christopher Gregor, 31, was arrested. A shocking video was shown in court showing him forcing the childCorey Micolow was asked to run on a treadmill at high speed as punishment on March 20, 2021.
When Gregor was given the harsh sentence, he said he did nothing to kill the boy, the New York Times reported.
“I want to assure you that I did nothing to cause Corey’s death on April 2nd. I didn’t hurt my son. I loved him and I still do. I regret not bringing him to the hospital sooner. I didn’t know how sick he was. I had no idea. I just thought he was tired,” Gregor said.
The video shows the father increasing the speed on the treadmill, causing the child to jump and fall down six times.
Two weeks later, on April 2, Corey woke up feeling nauseous, staggering and slurring his words.
The injuries were so severe that the boy suffered a seizure during the CT scan, forcing medical staff to take emergency measures.
However, the staff were unsuccessful and the baby was declared dead shortly afterwards.
Christopher Greger was arrested on child neglect charges in July 2021. “Specifically running (Corey) on a treadmill and increasing the speed causing (Corey) to fall, placing him back on the moving treadmill and appearing to hit his head causing said child to fall multiple more times,” the arrest warrant reads.
Corey’s death was determined as a homicide in September 2021 after a forensic pathologist found the six-year-old had suffered from “chronic abuse”, including blunt force wounds to his chest and abdomen, a laceration over his heart, bruising to the left lung, and bruising and injury to his liver.
