On Saturday, Israel announced it had killed longtime Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah during a series of powerful airstrikes that shook Beirut on Friday night.
The IDF eliminated Nasrallah along with Ali Karchi, commander of the southern front in Hezbollah, and other Hezbollah commanders.
Under the precise intelligence guidance of the intelligence wing and defense system, Air Force fighter planes attacked Hezbollah’s central headquarters located underground under a residential building in the Daha area of Beirut.
This announcement was followed by several days of intense fighting between Israel and Hezbollah. The fighting resulted in the death of several high-ranking Hezbollah officials and the loss of more than 1,000 lives in Lebanon.
The violence was marked by several days of nearly synchronized explosions and thousands of Israeli airstrikes, injuring thousands and displacing thousands more.
