Regional judicial authorities in Valencia said on Wednesday that some 93 people were listed as missing after devastating floods killed more than 200 in south-eastern Spain a week ago.
Valencia’s superior court listed 89 people as missing on Tuesday, but said four more people had been reported missing to law enforcement authorities on Wednesday.
At least 219 people have died in Spain’s worst floods in a generation, most of them in the Valencia region.
The figure is expected to rise as many of the missing are believed to be dead, although the court said authorities have not ruled out finding some of them alive.
Search and rescue operations targeted underground garages and waterways in the Valencia region on Wednesday.
15,000 police and soldiers deployed to the area are helping to clean up the devastation and repair roads and infrastructure.
Spain’s government on Tuesday announced a 10.6 billion euro ($11.5 billion) aid package to rebuild devastated areas.
On Wednesday, the European Investment Bank also pledged 900 million euros to finance reconstruction in affected areas.
