Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated US presidential candidate Donald Trump on his victory. 2024 US elections Because the results were declared on November 6, 2024.

Mr Modi said he was looking forward to “renewing our cooperation” from Mr Trump’s previous term. The Republican served as President of the United States from 2016 to 2020.
“Hearty congratulations to my friend Donald Trump on your historic election victory. As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our cooperation to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership. Let us work together for the well-being of our people and to promote global peace, stability and prosperity,” Mr Modi wrote on Twitter.
Former US President Trump was on track to win the race for the White House in one of the biggest political comebacks in US history. According to projections, Mr Trump was all set to get 270 Electoral College votes, blocking Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’s chance of winning the election.
