A 28-year-old Belgian woman was found with her hands tied on the streets of Islamabad on Pakistan’s Independence Day on Wednesday, August 14. Police said the woman was raped for five days and a local man has been arrested for the crime.
According to a Samaa TV report, the woman was thrown on the road with her hands tied behind her back.
The local people informed the police, after which the police reached the spot and rescued the woman.
The woman told the police that some people raped her for five days. Initial police investigation confirmed her claim.
Based on the woman’s statement, the police arrested a man named Tamizuddin.
After the case was registered, the woman was taken to the hospital for a physical examination to assess her injuries.
Further investigation is underway.
