Over 27 killed in Bangladesh clashes, government declares curfew


A new wave of violence has spread across several cities in Bangladesh, resulting in the death of at least seven people and injuries to hundreds of others. The protests that began on Sunday were mainly to demand the resignation of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Police fired tear gas shells and used stun grenades to disperse thousands of protesters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The government has also imposed curfew across the country to prevent protests. The government has also curbed social media platforms.
