As Israel announced Nasrallah’s killing, sirens were sounded in many parts of the Jewish state. A shell fired by Lebanon crashed into the Israeli-occupied West Bank, but no injuries were reported. Air raid sirens also sounded on the outskirts of Jerusalem, which the Israeli military said was triggered by “a launch from Lebanon towards Israeli territory”.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described his killing as a “historic turning point” and claimed the country had “settled its score” with a mass murderer responsible for the murders of “countless Israelis” and several American and French citizens.

Specifically, the Lebanese Health Ministry said that 33 people were killed and 195 others were injured in Israeli strikes in Lebanon on Saturday.
