India on Sunday night (August 4) advised all its citizens residing in Bangladesh to exercise “extreme caution” and restrict their movements. Fresh waves of violence in a neighbouring country.
In its latest advisory, India has asked its citizens not to travel to Bangladesh till further notice.
At least 90 people, including 14 policemen, were killed in fierce clashes between security forces and anti-government protesters in different parts of Bangladesh on August 4, according to reports from Dhaka.

“In view of the current developments, Indian nationals are strongly advised not to travel to Bangladesh till further notice,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in the advisory.
It said, “All Indian nationals in Bangladesh are advised to exercise extreme caution, restrict their movements and remain in touch with the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.”
Student protests in Bangladesh began last month against a controversial job quota scheme. Now this protest has turned into an anti-government movement.
On July 25, the Ministry of External Affairs said that around 6,700 Indian students had returned from Bangladesh in view of the situation in Bangladesh.
