Three people from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) were killed on Sunday when Israel launched its first strike within the city limits of Beirut, escalating hostilities against Iran’s allies in the region. After the Israeli attack in Kola district of the Lebanese capital, India Today’s Ashraf Wani reached the spot and brought the latest updates from the spot. It is the first time Israel has targeted a Sunni Muslim political party in Lebanon since the war began last year. The building suffered extensive damage in the attack and people were asked to vacate the area immediately after the attack. 50 cars were also damaged in the Israeli attack. More than 1,000 Lebanese have been killed and 6,000 injured in the past two weeks, according to Lebanon’s health ministry, without specifying how many were civilians. The government said one million people – one-fifth of the population – had fled their homes.
