Israeli rescue services say about 40 people have been injured in a drone strike in the central city of Binyamina, three of them in critical condition. The Hezbollah militant group is being blamed for this.

Israeli media reported that two drones were launched from Lebanon on Sunday (October 13, 2024). The Israeli military says a drone was intercepted.

Israel’s advanced air-defense systems mean that it is rare for drones or missiles to hurt so many people.

This is the second time in two days that Israel has been attacked by drones. On Saturday, during the Israeli holiday of Yom Kippur, a drone struck a suburb of Tel Aviv, causing damage but no injuries.
