In yet another personal attack on US Vice President Kamala Harris, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Saturday slammed her physical appearance and intelligence at an election rally in Pennsylvania.
“I’m more beautiful than they are,” Trump told supporters. Hill“I am a more visible person than Kamala.”
The former president recently cited Harris’ photo on the cover of Time magazine, claiming that the magazine had to hire a sketch artist because her photos didn’t turn out well. He also questioned Harris’ intelligence and called her a “radical liberal.”
Trump’s attack on Harris was one of many he launched against her and other Democratic leaders during the rally. Talking about her last-minute entry into the presidential race, he quipped, “What happened to Biden? I was running against Biden and now I’m running against somebody else. I asked, who am I running against, Harris? I said, ‘Who the hell is Harris?'”
This latest verbal attack comes after Trump claimed that He feels he is “exposed to personal attacks” at his Democratic rival. Despite warnings from his party and advisers, the former president continues to use derogatory nicknames for Harris such as “Kamabla”, “Leaning Kamala” and “Laughin’ Kamala”.
Trump has stepped up his aggressive rhetoric since the polls revealed the results. Harris gains ground in key battleground statesSuch as Pennsylvania – where he survived an assassination attempt.
Pennsylvania will play a key role in determining the final result under the US Electoral College system. Harris will visit Pennsylvania on Sunday before heading to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
The convention, which begins on Monday, will feature keynote speeches from party leaders like Biden and former President Barack Obama. Harris will deliver her speech on Thursday evening. Formally accept the party’s nomination.
The momentum in the White House race has shifted significantly since Joe Biden abruptly withdrew from the race on July 21. Harris’ entry has energized the Democratic Party’s base, and polls show that the head-to-head contest between her and Trump is very close.
