Supporters of US Vice President Kamala Harris broke Zoom attendance records on Thursday night, raising more than $2 million. Potential Democratic presidential nominee In less than 90 minutes. Despite glitches, more than 164,000 people attended the largest Zoom meeting to date.

Connie Britton, famous for her role in ‘Friday Night Lights’, expressed happiness over the overwhelming support received for Harris. “When (Joe) Biden stepped down and endorsed Kamala Harris, the world was shaken. It was seismic, cosmic, even colossal,” Britton said.

The fundraising campaign began with a $500,000 donation by comedian Carol Leaf. Pink, on the other hand, emphasized the importance of women’s voices in the political arena.

This was the third massive Zoom call for Harris and comes at a time when she aims to garner support and solidify her position as the Democratic nominee.

The last Zoom call involved 44,000 Black women and 50,000 Black men. These events raised $1.5 million and $1.3 million, respectively.
