“One soldier was killed and four others were injured in an attack by militants on a security forces vehicle in Pakistan’s restive northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday (September 11, 2024), sources said.”

The terrorists ambushed the vehicle in Mamond tehsil of Bajaur district bordering Afghanistan. The vehicle was badly damaged due to the deadly firing.

Other contingents of security forces reached the site of attack and cordoned off the entire area.

At least six people, including three policemen, were injured on Monday (September 9, 2024) in a bomb blast targeting a vehicle carrying Pakistan Polio Programme workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Three frontline polio workers and three policemen were injured in the blast in Wana town of South Waziristan district.

Last week, security forces foiled a deadly attack on a Frontier Corps unit headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and killed four suicide bombers, the army said.

All four militants who attacked the Mohmand Rifles headquarters in Ghalanai town of Mohmand district bordering Afghanistan were killed, the army’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
