11 people killed as Indian-registered bus plunges into river in Nepal

At least 11 people were killed when an Indian-registered passenger bus fell into the Marsyangdi river in central Nepal on Friday (August 23, 2024), according to a media report.

The accident took place at Aina Pahara in Tanahun district, reports MyRepublica.com.

A team of 45 Armed Police Force personnel led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Madhab Paudel from Armed Police Force Nepal Disaster Management Training School has already reached the accident site and is carrying out rescue operations.

According to initial reports, 10 to 11 bodies have been recovered.
